Fatigue / Joint Pain / Pelvic Pain?!

I have discussed these symptoms with my doctor but she feels there is no need for concern (without any testing), so this is my anonymous attempt at a second opinion.

I had a prostate infection February 2008 with which I experience burning pain in the groin and fatigue.  Went to DR for DRE and was prescribed Doxy.  Had an allergic reaction to Doxy so switch to a Z-Pak.  This seemed to solve the problem.  Since April of this year (2009) I have been experiencing regular joint pain, primarily in my knees and hands, and near-daily fatigue (somtimes severe).  I just saw my DR 2 weeks ago and about the joint pain and fatigue and she ran ANA (neg), RA Factor (neg), SED Rate (neg), Vitamin D -- showed deficient at 30ng/ml.  I am now on a regimen of 50,000UI of Vitamin D for 12 weeks with reevaluation at the end.

I also talked to my doctor in April, when the symptoms started, about a problem I was having with dribbling after urinating and sometimes, especially when laying down at night, the need to go back and "squeeze" the last few drops out.  She recommended sitting while urinating?!  Also since April, I have developed a burning feeling in my lower right front pelvic area.  The pain is intermittent, but constant when acting up, and sometimes extends down into my thigh about 6-8 inches.

I am just afraid that the correlation between these symptoms is being overlooked and my DR is treating the symptom and not the cause.  My stats: 32 year old male, 140lbs (always been thin), 6'0" with no prior medical history other than allergies and some GI problems.

Thank you for your response!

I am on a daily 1000mg 2x a day dose instead of the one huge dose.
This keeps me feeling a lot better.  When I ran out and had to use a synthetic
one instead of the natural one I could tell it too!!! My levels were 14 are now up to
31.. but since i am full of stones they do not want it up too high

Another update... I went through another 4 week regimen of 50,000 Vitamin D/week.  I felt pretty good.  Met with my Doctor two weeks ago to re-evaluate and recheck my vitamin D levels.  Last week I received a lab report in the mail stating that my levels were up to 70 and to back off to only 1 dose of Vitamin/month.  Well, it's been about 10 days since my last dose and I'm already starting to feel bad again.  Fingers and knees ache/burn and the fatigue is setting in around early afternoon (3:00pm-ish) daily.

I don't know what's going on... but it's getting old.

I wanted to post a quick update for anyone that may come across this thread.

I did my 3 month regimen of Vitamin D (50,000 IU per week) and after about 3 weeks I really started to feel much better --- I actually felt like myself again.  When my prescription ran out just 2 weeks ago I called my doctors office to make a followup visit to recheck my levels but I can't get an appointment for about a month.  Now, just 2 weeks after not taking my weekly Vitamin D I feel like CRAP again.  Very tired, knees and hands just ache all day and I have a hard time getting any good sleep.

I called the pharmacy and requested an additional refill since my appointment wasn't for another month and they called my doctor's office to get it approved.  Got the new prescription yesterday so hopefully in a few days I might start to feel normal again.

hey, along with some of my symptoms i've been having, i've also had some problems urinating, joint pain, and extreme fatigue as well.  as much as i believe in the body's own power to heal itself, i still think things like MRI's, blood tests, etc. that natural medicine can not do are important to our health.  ive been researching extensively about my symptoms and i think i might have AS or MS, AS being most common in men between 18 and 30 yrs. old.   the pelvic thing is the thing thats been worrying me because every joint in my pelvis seems to be inflamed and is very painful. my penis is even starrting to go numb. I've done detox kits, quit smoking pot and cigarettes 4 years ago, quit drinking,..i've even been vegetarian for 2 yrs. now, and my body pain and other symptoms keep intesifying over time.  i think im going to try anti-parasitic meds next, because theres got to be and underlying root to all our problems...hope you figure it all out. but look up AS, and MS on wikipedia and see if that sounds like whats going on with you.  theres so many things out there its so hard to narrow it all down!

fibromyalgia is a false diagnoses,it is parasitic worms.Dont trust doctors for a diagnoses, buy a detox kit, anti parasitic herbs and anti-helminths.Doctors will never heal, you can only help yourself,Doctors are good for things such as lithotripsy ect, check out the cure zone web site for ideas
