Flaking (Dry?) Skin

  Recently, I have noticed a few small patches of what appears to
  be dry flaking skin on my penis.  It does not really itch, the
  area is not red or inflammed, and there do not appear to be any
  open sores.  Is there anything I can do?

Unscented lotion should not hurt the sensitive penile skin. Avoidance of hot water while bathing will also help as does rinsing off all the soap residue when you are done. Your situation does not sound serious, but if need a definite answer,  see a doctor more specifically a dermatologist.
