Foley catheter

I just had my urethra enlarged on tuesday, and it has taken some time getting use to the foley catheter. I first had problems with bladder spasms and the past three days I have noticed that when I unplug the catheter to empty into the urinal as the bladder empties the head of my penis starts to turn inward causing some soreness. Eventually the head will return but it takes about 5 minutes. Is this normal and what can I do to fix the problem or live with it.
