Frenulum

by Concern779, Aug 21, 2009 10:49AM
I have been reading about a problem I have and I believe it has to do with frenula. I am circumsized, but on the upper left side of penis is skin that connects from my foreskin to about the middle of the head on my penis . And on the bottom there are multiple places where my foreskin connects to the head of the penis, it almost looks like its a sheet of skin connected to the head. So basically when I'm erect my foreskin on top comes back as far as that skin on top can stretch, even thought the rest wants to go more; And on the bottom the skin barely goes back at all. So sometime when i am having sex it hurts because it feels like all these frenulum(i guess what the are called) are stretching and one time i even started to bleed a bit. I actually used to have two frenulum on top. One was really thin and it snap one day and i didn't even notice. The other problem is that since the foreskin at the bottom is connected almost all the way across i cant really clean the space between skin and penis.  So I was wondering what the best course of action would be? what should I do? and who should I contact for this problem, like if there is a specialist? I'd really appreciate the feedback. thank you

To: Concern779,
Hello,
You seem to be having frenulum breve. It is a condition in which the frenulum of the penis is short and restricts the movement of the prepuce, which may interfere with normal sexual activity. It is treated by frenuloplasty, frenectomy, or circumcision.
I would suggest you to consult a urologist and get this possibility evaluated.
I hope it helps.Take care and regards.
