Some women are more prone to frequent uti!s
Urologists will usually make sure there are no physiologic causes of UTI's and once ruling that out will recommend always wipe front to back, drink a lot of water, avoid douching, and some urologist will RX a postcoital antibiotic. For instance, after sex I take a Bactrim within four hours post intercourse, drink a lot of water and urinate as soon as possible after intercourse. Your go or urologist will be able to tell you whether or not you need after sex antibiotic prophylaxis

You and your partner must shower and wash hands carefully before sex.  Fecal bacteria or other bacteria from hands is getting into the wrong spot.
