Frequent peeing and burning.

I've already had a urinary infection and I'm pretty sure this is another one. I feel the need to keep peeing and while it doesn't really burn that much when I pee it burns a lot afterwards and I have to go around with a constant burning sensation.
My first question is whether I wait till Monday (because here there aren't any on-call doctors) to try and organize an appointment with my doctor or go to A&E before (for example today or tomorrow).
(Last time I went to A&E because I was in extreme pain as I left it so late it went to my kidneys).
My second question is if I wait till Monday is there anything I can do to try and alleviate the burning sensations?

Thanks
Hannah

Well a week later, I've had antibiotics which has cured the UTI but given me a yeast infection instead!! I can't win!

I agree with the doctor that you need to go to as doctor asap.  UTI's really are nothing to play around with, you can go septic which means the infection goes into your kidneys and then blood stream.  You can also develop a low level chronic infection that takes many months or longer on antibiotics to clear up too!  The point is hopefully since this is Monday you are on the way to your doctor.

There are several over the counter meds that can help the burning symptoms etc.  These included AZO, Uristat and Cystex.  Ask your doctor and pharmacist if these are OK for you take until you feel better!

Hope that helps!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From your symptoms it sounds like a urinary tract infection. It can be due to STD’s(sexually transmitted disease),prostates  and kidney stones also.

You need a complete physical examination and investigations like complete urine examination, urine culture, swab specimen from the genitalia and ultrasound lower abdomen to find out the cause. Plsease consult a urologist for that.

To tackle this burning sensation, please take abundant fluids throughout the day.
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
