Frequent urination and pressure but no infection

Hello,

I am 28F and 2 years back was diagnosed with severe bladder infection which was a complication from a surgery that I got done. I was prescribed levaquin and within 3 mos I recovered completely.

5 months ago, suddenly out of the blue I started to have frequent urges (10  a day, mostly during daytime) to urinate along with pressure in my bladder/ urethra area. Every time there is medium to large quantity of urine. Urine tests and Cystoscopy did not show anything. No infection. Nothing. The doc still prescribed me an antibiotic (Macrobid ) which I took for 3 weeks but with no relief. He also put me on Prosed for a week.

I have a feeling of pressure in my urethral passage and also a severe feeling of dull aching pain  and discomfort on the tip of my urethra ( close to clitoris). I cannot do fast jerky body movements since I get the feeling that the urine may leak out. I also am scared to do any physical exercise due to the same reason. I also have a lot of discomfort when I sit...a lot of pressure down there.

Please advise. Thanks a lot !!!

Hi
Reading the last 3 post has some of my symptoms. I'm a 44yr old male going through this for the last 3 yrs and 6 doctors later the last one at cleveland clinic diaganosed me with "pelvic floor disorder" so if yor dr can pin point the problem please mention this disorder to your Dr.Do some research on the computer and buy the book "headache in the pelvis".This most of the time goes undetected

HI,

I have a similar sitaution, I just left a urine sample at my dcotor's office. When I did the dip stix test at home for a UTI it came back purple, when I went to the doctor's office Iit showed nothing, but they sent it out to the lab. I don't know if this now a nervous issue for me or a real deal problem. I also get so worked up that if it not a UTI then do I have some awful problem..  I am on Cipro now. I am mid 50's and always worried about something.

18 months ago I had a horrible night of pain in my urithea and I was almost going to go to the hospital and then I took 2 advil and I was fine. I may have passed a small crystal. I did go to the dr and I was on Cirpro bu the test came back negative. I think had an awful odor in my urine and I guess the Cirpro took care of it.

While in Europe a few weeks ago, I just kept feeling like I had to pee and if I didn't pee it was on my mind. Sometimes I feel like I am holding myself together just not to pee and other times I feel regular and forget the whole thing...

ANyhow its good to share thought..

Hello.

Your symptoms sound like mine to a "T", but i have always had the frequent urination problem. My bladder is only comfortable when i am literally empty. I have to limit how much I drink, usually no more than 36oz of liquid a day. I usally go 2-3 times at night and no less than 15 times during the day. Seriously. Everything i drink comes right back out. Sometimes i go 6 times within an hour, and it is not drops either, it is a flow. I have not had any UTI or anything like that, not diabetic, although one dr. seems to think I am, just not showing up on blood work.

I do have an appt. with urologist this Friday. I will keep you posted. I replied because your the first person who had the symptoms i had as far as the pressure part, i could never figure out how to explain it to a doctor.

Thanks.
