Frequent urination

I've mastrubated recently, and then I had a frequent urge to urinate. I haven't had sex with anyone. But I have a good clue that my bladder is inflamed or something. There is no pain or blood anywhere. Can someone please answer to my problem?

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
There could be two possibilities. One is inflammation of the urethral glands in the part of urethra that runs through the penis. A tingling burning sensation keeps on troubling and it is difficult to initiate urination. Treatment is by local application of antibiotic cream after retracting the foreskin and keeping good personal hygiene.
The other possibility is that something is obstructing the bladder neck like a stone, benign hypertrophy of prostate, polyp, tumor etc. These will cause difficulty in initiating the urine stream and there will be burning if there is inflammation.
Maybe you could ask your urologist to look at these two things.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Well, my urethra tingles a lot and it always feels like I do have to urinate. No matter how much I go urinate nothing comes out until I come again later. It has persisted for 4 days and I have no clue on how to cure it. The last time which this occured was 6 years ago, and the last I remember was that I mastrubated again and it somehow stopped it. But I want a real answer.

Hello,
Without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but urge of frequent urination can be due to increased intake of fluids or diabetes mellitus.Other possibilities are glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys),urinary tract infection, hypercalcemia, hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, diuretic drugs and benign hyperplasia of the prostate(in elderly males).

In my opinion, investigations like kidney functions, blood sugar levels, ultrasound lower abdomen ,intravenous pyelography ,prostate specific antigen blood test, thyroid function tests and cystoscopy may be needed to confirm a diagnosis.I sincerely advise you to consult a urologist or nephrologist and get yourself evaluated so that a confirmatory diagnosis can be made.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.Kind regards.
