i'm a 29 yo male and for the past 4 years have had a bladder obstruction due to urethral stricture. i had blood tests (5 in total) done 4 years ago, before obstruction, that showed gfr about 120. recent tests (3) show about 93. i also recently developed high bp and am now taking irbesartan. Should I be worried about this decline? Also, my personal physician is unaware of the previous test results, so should i let the doc know?

A GFR of 93 is still considered within the normal range. However, it does show a slight decline from the prior levels. Hypertension certainly can cause the kidney function - or it can go the other way, any kidney damage can lead to an elevated BP.
I would discuss these values with your personal physician - including the prior readings.
Tests to consider would be looking at the urine under the microscope, as well as a kidney ultrasound.
These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
