Getting nervous - could use some help

JA4
I am in the middle of a potential medical crisis, and I am getting nervous.
I'm interacting with a urologist, but the practice is so busy, that I can't
actually get a doctor to talk to me until July 30.

I have been showing blood occasionally in the urine.

I have had multiple urine tests confirming it is blood.

I had a sono at the beginning of the month, and it showed multiple spots on
both kidneys.

I had a CAT scan Monday, and the results that the nurse will quote from the report
were that I am "urologically negative, which means no kidney stones and nothing urologically wrong."

But, wait a minute, my sonogram showed multiple spots on Both kidneys!
But the nurse wouldn't discuss it any further.
I have to wait until a scheduled cytoscopy on July 30 for any more dialog.

This is ridiculous, and I'm getting very nervous.  If the sono showed spots, and the CAT
shows I'm "urologically negative", without stones, the only thing left I personally know the
spots would be are - Cancer.

Is there anything else you can tell me?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
The CAT scan is the more important test when compared to the ultrasound and provides more information. The CAT scan would show tumors if they are large enough to matter. I would not get overly concerned with the ultrasound.
The cystoscopy is the only was to reasonably evaluate the bladder lining and will complete your workup. At times, a cause for the blood is not found and you will need to be followed for a  while to see that things remain stable as regards your urinary systems.
Good luck.

I'm embarrassed to also mention that I have severe ED for over a year and a half.
That might be relevant.
