Groin Lump

I noticed a lump on my groin on the left side about 5 days ago. it is very painful and tender, the skin around it is red. at first i thought it was a swollen lymph node, and still don't know if it is or not. I have also wondered if it could be a sports related hernia, seeing as how i am very active. this morning i noticed it was leaking puss. I have recently had a UTI, and I have ulcerative colitis. Other background information. I am a Caucasian male, 20 years old.
