He tore is penis .........

I was having sex with my boyfriend when he tore the skin on his penis. He started bleeding a lot ( It seemed a lot ). The bleeding did stop but when we checked after an hour, he started bleeding a little again.
Now, he is very shy and doesn't want to see a doctor. So here I am and I have a few questions.

1. How long does it take for the tear to heal ?
2. Is it necessary to see a doctor ?
3. Can the tear reopen ?
4. I see that some people has had problems for a long period of time coz of it. It scares me, is it necessary that my boyfriend will face the same?
5. Is normal sex possible after this ? ( after it heals )

Thank you doctor. We are definitely going to wait for him to heal properly. It doesn't seem to be hurting him and I have given him a weeks time to heal a little. If there is no improvement at all then I am going to take him to the doctor.
But thank you so much for your comment. It does put ones mind to rest.

Hi,
I sincerely feel that your boyfriend should consult a urologist for the same. I don’t he needs to worry whether this tear will affect his sexual life or not. I believe it won’t. However, he might need sutures to stitch up the wound and probably it’ll take sometime for the wound to heal. The tear may take 2-4 weeks to heal and it may reopen if the sexual activity is resumed before proper healing. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
