Hormonal imbalance

Hormonal imbalance

Hi, my question is regarding hormonal imbalance.
I am a healthy male of age 26. I had a very strong sex drive and libido, but two years back i took an anti depressant and after that my libido has never came back to normal. i have told this to my doctor and he is confused about this. he has asked me to get done several hormone tests which i did. i have got tested for almost every hormone that you can think of, this includes testosterone, fsh, lh, tsh, t3, t4, prolactin, progesterone, liver function tests, blood lipid tests, kidney fucntion tests, cortisol and estrogen. i have got tested for these hormones almost 5 times during different hours of the day and all the times all my hormone levels came into normal ranges except for estrogen which always had fallen way beyond the normal range.
for this purpose i even got a ct scan done for my pelvis and abdomin (abdomen) area just to rule out any estrogen producing tumour. but the ct scan also came normal. so now me and my doctor cant seem to find the reason behind my so so elevated levels of estrogen.
i am very upset and i need to rule out the reason for my elevated hormone levels. i am sure that these high level of estrogen is killing my sex drive. my doctor even prescribed me tamoxifen till the time my problem resolves, as if i dont take estrogen i start feeling gynecomastia related tumours. beleive me i was totally healthy before the use of the anti depressant prozac some two years ago. i dont know hat has happened but this is the situation. so please guide me that what could be the reason for these elevated levels of estrogen and what should be done to diagnose the cause and how to cure. please note that i dont drink, smoke, take recreational drugs and have no known disease.

Difficult to say.  There are some small studies suggesting that use of SSRIs like Prozac can lead to longer-term sexual side effects.

As for the high estrogen levels, it can be difficult to say in a male.  Imaging tests to evaluate the adrenal gland and pituitary gland can be considered for further evaluation.  An MRI of each respective organ can be considered to evaluate for tumors in these areas.

You can also consider a referral to an endocrinologist for further evaluation.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
