"Hot Flashes" in testicle

My husband has been having what he calls "hot flashes" in his right testicle.  He says that it just feels very warm for a few seconds, then the feeling goes away.  Since this started the "hot flash" has spread to the right inner thigh and back towards the anal area.  He says there is no pain, but the heat is intense enough to be disconcerting.  It happens only on the right.  He is a type II diabetic who has had some previous problems with neuropathy in his extremities.  Could this be related or is it comething else entirely?  Thanks in advance for any info!

His neuropathy is the most likely reason for his symptoms. Neurology shoud see him and see if they have anything to add,
