I went to a surgeon to have a hernia removed. He noticed a hydrocele and said he could do both at once. He has done hydroceles about 2 per month.....would you recommend this general surgeon to do the hydrocele and the hernia or a urologist for the hydrocele?
Hi,
How are you? Yes, if the surgeon is well experienced, you can get a hydrocelectomy along hernia repair done at the same time. It would be better to undergo the surgery at the same time for both the conditions. Recurrence of hydrocele with hydrocelectomy is rare.
Best.
