Hypospadias repair in adulthood

My urethra opens at the junction of shaft and glans on my penis, but the urethra is overlain by wafer thin skin for half an inch down the shaft. My penis is small, and has a marked twist bewteen base and glans when flaccid which seems to be getting worse as I get older. I wonder if anyone has had this sort of hypospadias corrected as an adult? It has had a profound effect on my psychological state (especially in preventing me having relationships), but even though things are bad now, I wouldn't want to make them any worse. The opening of the urethra is mostly ok but sometimes sprays urine about messily.
Any thoughts?

Dear Philip,
I think you should make an appointment to see a urologist and at least get an opinion.  This type of surgery can be done at any age with good results. I know of a number of procedures to not only straighten out the penis, but also operations to move flaps of skin to provide support where necessary.  If the sight of your penis bothers you, is affecting your image of yourself and your daily life, I would certainly get an opinion.  Then once you have the information, you can make in informed decision to have it corrected or not.
