If cut/swollen frenulum doesn't heal...?

by manu1721, Sep 21, 2009 09:14PM
Hello!

My frenulum was cut slightly last month although there was no sign of blood.

The pain, swollenness, and itchness (sometimes), still persists although not really getting worse.

What could this be and should I see a doctor?

Hi,
There’s a possibility of an infection in the area of the frenulum which is possibly persisting and causing the pain, swelling & itching. I’ll suggest you to consult a surgeon/dermatologist and seek treatment. You might need a course of antibiotics/anti-inflammatories.  Don’t think it should be serious but still shouldn’t be delayed. I s hope tat helps. Take care.
