When the prostate is removed, the
PSAPsa
Psa blood test should fall to within undetectable levels. A rising PSA is suspicious for recurrent cancer.
Diagnostic options would include a digital rectal exam, CT scan, bone scan, or ProstaScint scan - all to look for extra-prostatic recurrence of cancer.
These options should be discussed with your urologist.
