I meant he was born at then of last year (2011).
Any updates? My son was born at the end of last year(2012) and has a small penis as well. He recvd testerone treatment and we did see some improvement. I am curious to see how your son has developed since. Thanks for any input. There is very little info online.
Please keep me posted on this because im a concerned parent and always willing to learn more
Have any of your children been investigated for russel-silver syndrome - the symptoms include hypospacias, IUGR, low birthweight...my child was just diagnosed late, to my surprise it doesn't seem well known by even the 'specialists' but treatment is well defined once diagnosed.
This link is on hypospadias and might help:

I would recommend reading blogs or watching videos online from the perspective of someone who went through whatever procedures you are thinking about for your children. It seems like you are being great advocates for you kids already...
My son was born full term and considered low birth weight. Our pediatrician informed us that he was born with severe hypospias along with chordee and a small penis. We went to a pediatric urologist who further reffered us to a pediatric endocronologist. We began hormone treatments when he was seven weeks old and we have seen some improvement in size so far. We were told the effects of the treatments would be permanant. Does anyone know what causes this? The low birth weught along with the hypospadias? Let me know.
My son was also born with IUGR - born at 32 weeks at only 2lbs and has hypospadias but it is not mild - it is probably a stage 3. I am also concerned about the size of his penis, but our appointment with a pediatric urologist isn't until the end of April. Have you found out any information on the micropenis? I was told by a urologist that saw him in the NICU that he has chordee because his urethra is so short, and that during the surgery to correct the hypospadias they cut something that relives the curvature thereby elongating the penis. Let me know if you have any information though! I have the same fears about my son having a normal penis and being able to have sex as you do!
