Injured Penis; told to wait

by z730, Dec 05, 2008 01:04PM
I was masturbating for several hours, applying force to the base of my penis with my palm and I got abit carried away. Suddenly felt a brief sharp pain in the lower right side of my penis near the base of the shaft. I suddenly lost my erection partially (The right side went semi soft the left did not causing my penis to bend towards the right .) My erection was then temporarily lost but  returned and I quickly finished my activities. I noticed that I had a dull warm aching, and some mild swelling and pain in that area of my penis put ice on it and waited about four days till it had stopped hurting before masturbating again. After the next session the pain returned as a dull ache and it was over the next couple of days that I noticed that for the first time my penis was pointing  to the right slightly when flaccid. When semi erect it would point at a 30 degree angle. This was not a gradual curve, more of a crook at the base, and when fully erect it was nearly 100% straight again though the tube of erectile tissue on the left side became fuller/thicker  in erection than the right side.

At this point I went to see a urologist and he examined my non erect penis noting it was still tender at the base and I was told that it didn't sound like a penile fracture as I would have  known since it is extremely painful but  likely had been some trauma and bruising of the erectile tissue. He told me about peyronie's Disease  and advised that I should wait 6 weeks for it to heal and avoid intercourse/masturbation until then. As for the crook he said I would have to wait and see how it healed as there was no way to know if it would resolve and at that point I could make a follow up with him to discuss the curve of my penis if it was bothering me. I had imagined tests or possibly surgery since a sudden change like this seemed serious to me but the doctor seemed to think it was not a big deal. I have heard of fractures but not of a bruised penis causing a bend ?
