Klebsiella Pneumoniae
My 87 yr old mom (with minor Type II Diabetes) has a history of frequent UTIs.  Her culture is usually E Coli.  This time the culture came back as Klebsiella Pneumoniae - 50,0000 - 100,000 CFU/ML.   Reading about K. Pneumoniae has me worried!
She is prescribed with 250 - 3x day  Cefaclor by the local Urgent Care.  Is this appropriate?
The earliest appt her urologist can see her is Mid Feb.   :-(
