Left testicle problem

Hi I am a 27 year old male and a couple months ago my girlfriend and I were having sex and I felt some discomfort so we stopped and I noticed a lump/inflammation on the surface of the skin where the shaft of my penis meets the scrotum sack. The lump/inflammation stayed for the remainder of that day but was gone the next morning when I woke up. I'm not sure if it was the very next day or a few days later but I started to have periodic pain in my left testicle and also the left testicle stays high up more towards the penis and stopped descending with the fluctuation in temperature where as the right testicle still reacts normally. after a couple weeks I stopped getting the pain in my testicle but it still remains sitting high up closer to the penis. also just a few days ago I had some minor burning sensations when urinating and that came and went for 2 days and is gone now.

What could be causing my left testicle to stay sitting much higher up and not descend in warmer temp conditions? and could the burning sensations while urinating be linked to the testicle problem even though it occured about 2 months later? I would have gone to the doctor within the first week of it happening but I don't have medical insurance and my financial situation isn't great right now. I tried looking for a type of community clinic like the one where I use to live where you pay one fee and everything from specialists, tests, and medicine is included in that one payment but none like that exist here and I'd have to drive quite a long way to go to one like that so any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info, that's one thing I was thinking about as well that if I visit a doctor that they don't find anything or don't spend the time looking thoroughly and I have to come back to them time and time again. Another thing I forgot to mention is that the testicle also seems to have gotten about maybe 50% bigger or more than the right testicle and it seems firmer/more solid. The "top" of the testicle closer to the penis also feels as if something is there, I can't explain what but if I feel the right testicle the same it feels like it's free besides what's normally attatched to it but the left testicle seems to have something above it to where I can't feel around it.

I've been with my girlfriend for a few years now and I'm very comfortable telling her about what's going on and I actually asked her if it seemed like my testicle had gotten bigger and she says no but I honestly think she's trying to avoid what's happening because she doesn't want to think that something might be wrong. She has said that she does notice that it does stay up closer to the penis and doesn't really descend at all anymore and she will on a consistent basis tell me "we should go to a doctor" even though she has said she doesn't think it's gotten bigger.

I thought when it happened that maybe I just strained something and it would go away with rest and what not but it's been 2-3 months and it's still the same and I'm steadily getting more and more worried that something serious could be wrong but if I go to a doctor I know that it's gonna cost a lot and I don't know what the doctors or hospital would do if I couldn't pay the massive bill.

Hiya buddy, I dont have an answer for you, but I do get occasional testicle pain like every two months for about an hour. Is this a heat/cold issue? Did I squat and compress them like by bending down too fast? Underwear too tight? I have no idea.  When my balls  hurt , they'll be uncomfortable, not inflammed or too sore, but enough to make me irritated for a while. It always goes away in an hour, so I dont know how to follow up on this. Now it doesnt hurt when I pee, sometimes after I pee, which is strange. If i went to the uro doc, which I have, he\ll prob just tell me I'm okay, unless there are further tests that can help out. But m not about to throw $ at some doc who's just gonna tell me to come  back in 2 months.

Hope it works out, if you wanna compare notes, I'm here.
