Lotrisone use on meatus?

Alright so I was prescribed Lotrisone by my urologist to treat irritation and redness just inside my penis opening(urethra) and unfortunately I tried it. Basically I had been suffering for nearly a year with the problem with no help from several courses of antibiotics(Cipro, Bactrim, Metronidazole) as well as creams including Lidocain(numbing gel) and Miconazole. Anyways, I only used the Lotrisone for about 5 days(2x daily) and stopped once my penile skin became red and further irritated. However, I did put a good amount on each time since my doctor acted as though the stuff was harmless! After the fact I read a lot of information online about Lotrisone and steroid creams. Some sources even said strong steroids(which Lotrisone is) should not be used on the genitals! What I want to know is: Was it appropriate for Lortisone to be prescribed for the penis skin? Also was 5 days too long to use it(the prescription was for 2 weeks) and what kind of damage could this have done? Ever since I used this(10 months ago) it seems as though my meatus skin is now thinner since it gets more easily mis-aligned and doesn't bounce back into place like it once did. The skin in that area also seems softer and shows some hyperpigmentation. Do urologists commonly prescribe Lotrisone for the penis and specifically to treat urethral inflamation? When I went back to the doctor he just said my skin must have had a bad reaction and that it would go away. Yeah right...what the hell have I done!?

Overall, I would advice anyone not to use any kind of steroids cream unless he uses all natural therapies that can be found on net.

Or if using steroids insure stoping couple of days after not noticing any significant improvment!!

I hope doctors be cauatious with prescribing steroids to be used on penis. Elocon topical steroids has caused me swelling on corona (bottom of head) increase sensetivity which thankfully is not as bad after exposing to sun.

Doctors do not even now in most cases what the problem is and will predict your condition.

As for ny condition.

I had abit of redness on head probably due friction went to doctor gave me Hyrdocrotizole 1% uesd for 2 weeks then used single anti-fungal for 2 weeks  didnt improve nothing except making area more senstive, then another doctor said this is not fungul infection and said this is friction caused slight ecezma!! Gave me elocon otinment (potent).

Seems like it worked sometimesn but second weeks it was making thing away too sensetive and consulted doctor for possible side effects he assured safety of use!! In my third week I just stopped because I got too paranoid about it.

The cure my dear friend that worked for me is the following.

First thing I have done which burnt my penis but insured killing any infection was black seed oil using couple of dribbs with very cold water (frozen nearly) and salt, then I would dip my thing in it for 15-20 mins each night before sleep and air it afterwards while ur sleep (eg sleep next to windw).

Do this for a week.

Second week.

Go swimming in beach everytime is possible stay in water as much as you can then avail your effected area to Sun for 20mins then swim again do this reapedly as much as u can.

Continue on until redness and infection is cured u should see improvement in couple of days.

As for skin thickening, its not possible to have skin atrophy due to 5 days of steroids!!

Organic black seed oil and 100%

Mate I have seen most of your comments since your condition started, 5 days use of steroids is likely not to cause all these symptoms you mentioned however,

There is possibility that your problem has not yet been cured, but bare in mind I got paranoid like you frm the look of the meatus as its naturally red on both sides though I have never noticed before.

So, the cure is simple for the redness and the infection. All you need to do is first NEVER EVER EVER MASTURBATE niether indulge in SEXUAL INTERCOURSE except to your wife as this is a punishment from god to all of us.

The cure that worked out for me is simple and made me regret consulting doctors whom I trusted then sarted assuming my condition predecively!! Then prescribing steriods like a toy!

No the cream I used was L-O-T-R-I-S-O-N-E not LORTISONE! Lotrisone has betamethasone diprionate a STRONG or POTENT steroid in it! I understand I confused you because the second time I typed it I mis-spelled it. Lotrisone was what I used, so now what do you think about it's effects on the penile skin? Also what should/can be done to treat the side effects I described?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Lortisone is a combination of an anti-fungal and a mild steroid and its ok to be used on penile skin. If irritation due to the antifungal component occurs, its use may be discontinued. The cream is harmless and should not have any long term side effects.
Hope this information is helpful.

Take care!
