Low Ejaculate

Hi,

Over the past month my ejaculate has changed significantly, when I used to masterbate I would ejaculate an average amount of semen, and it would shoot out of my penis pretty far.  Since the last month, the amount of ejaculate is so low it just comes out in very small quantites, and doesn't shoot at all, it just drips out if there actually is any.  I am a 20 year old university student that goes to the gym daily, eats fairly well, I have been sexually active in my past, but not currently.  I am wondering if somethings wrong with my prostate, and what is causes this to happen so randomly.  Please respond ASAP, I would grealty appreciate it, thanks!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
You see the major part of the semen is constituted by seminal fluid produced by seminal vesicles. If one is not taking adequate amount of fluids, then the semen may become thick in consistency and decreased in amount and may not come out with increased force. Hence, I’ll suggest you to increase your fluid intake. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
