Lump and pain in left testicle (and leg), doctor says nothing is wrong

Hello.

I found a lump on my left testicle, which didn't hurt at first, but lately it has become painful. Of course, I am not 100% certain that the lump is related to the pain, this is just something I have assumed. It also feels like the pain continues down my left leg to my knee (but again, I'm just assuming the two pains are related).

I did go to see the doctor, but during the (very short) examination she did, she couldn't feel any lump. After I came back to see her a second time, she sent me to get an ultrasound of my testicles. But the doctor doing the ultrasound said that he didn't see anything out of the ordinary, and could rule out cancer.

So, according to the doctor(s) I am suppose to be healthy.

But then why does it still hurt? The degree varies, but sometimes it hurts pretty bad.
If I am healthy, it is not suppose to hurt.

So, I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar, or have any clues what so ever as to what might be wrong with me!?

All comments are appreciated.

Hi.

Thank you for you comment.

I read up on both orchitis and Epididymitis on Wikipedia, and it seems Epididymitis seems like the most likely candidate.

The symptoms for Epididymitis, "the testicle is usually found to be in its normal vertical position, of equal size compared to its counterpart, and not high-riding. Typical findings are redness, warmth and swelling of the scrotum, with tenderness behind the testicle" all applies to me.

As for orchitis, there has neither been any blood in my urine or what I would call a "severe" pain.

I will check to see if it is possible to get the antibiotics without having to see the doctor again, as I have been going so often lately (I had some surgery done because of phimosis earlier this year), and it is also eating into my budget (I'm a student).

Anyhow, thank you again for you comment. I feel pretty convinced its Epididymitis, and am glad to see its not that serious of a disease.

Hi,
How are you? Lump in the testicle can be diagnosed by physical examination or by scrotal ultrasound. There is no way that a lump could have been missed by these two methods. Also, there is no relation between leg pain and testicular lump.

I think the pain you are referring to could be due to orchitis or Epididymitis. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs  are useful in the treatment of these conditions. I would suggest that you visit a urologist for further assistance on treatment for this.
Best.
