Lump in Bicep after Androgel use

My husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer 2 1/2 years ago. He had it successfully removed (it was VERY small) and underwent radiation therapy. He has been fine but due to a low testerone level he has remained on androgel (testerone therapy). He noticed yesterday a lump about 2 inches long on the top of his bicep. It is soft and movable and causes no pain. It appears to have come from nowhere. Could it be a side effect of his testerone therapy which is placed on his back on shoulders? Needless to say, we are terrified.

I am not aware of skin lumps being a side effect to Androgel.
Given the history of testicular cancer, I would be aggressive in finding out what the skin lesion is. A referral to a dermatologist or surgeon can be considered for possible biopsy.
Imaging the lesion with an ultrasound also would be an option. Possibilities would include a cyst, abscess, or a benign fatty deposit known as a lipoma.
These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
