Masturbation, frequent uriantion and pelvic function?

Hi everyone. Sorry for the long store but I could really use some help.

I'm a 29 y/o male and for the last 8 years I've suffered from problems with frequent urination which has caused several issues, the worst of which is sleep problems. I've been through every test and medication you can imagine:  Prostatitis, UTI, urodynamics, urinalysis and have had several procedures including bladder installation, endoscopy etc. All have come up inconclusive or ineffective. It's not until last year my urologist started to think it was a pelvic function/nerve issue and started me on physical therapy for pelvic health, which has thankfully improved me to about 60%.

However, I can't seem to get back to 100%. My theory is that over masturbating for almost 2 years daily during college may have caused this pelvic dysfunction. I noticed it became harder to relax and void in front of the toilet during this period and eventually the frequent urination started. For several years, my pelvic muscles felt tense and unnatural.

So I hope you guys can help with a few questions:

If masturbating too much (or too strongly) caused these pelvic issues, would going cold-turkey during my physical therapy being a good idea?

What about focusing only on intercourse? My fiance is devoutly catholic and we've been abstinent for 4 years, so I've been masturbating 2-3 times a week to relieve sexual urge. However when I was sexually active it took a while for my pelvic muscles to relax and felt like they were resisting normal function. Would regular intercourse help "reset" my pelvic muscles?

Lastly, I think a lot of the sleeping issues have been psychological. I'm constantly focused on my bladder when Im sleeping and the slightest urge becomes very hard to ignore and I end up caving and getting up to pee. Has anyone had success with mental training to ignore the urge to urinate or even something like hypnotherapy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,

Until your night time urination problems are settled, would a portable urinal help you so you would not have to get up out of bed every time you get the urge to urinate?  Because of your fiance's religious beliefs, instead of intercourse, you could curtail masturbation and allow her to give you a slow hand job two or three times per week to relieve your sexual tensions, as you meanwhile continue to find ways to improve your pelvic nerve issues.

Thanks for the response. I've thought about a portable urinal, but thought that would be too weird, I might consider it again though. thanks
