Mild sharp pain when urinating

Just noticed this two days ago. First I felt my penis a little sensitive and then I felt pain when urinating. I dont feel the pain when having sex or masturbating, or ejaculating. It is only when I pee, or feel like urinating. Can this be a UTI? or can it be more leaning to an STD?
I am going to the doctor tomarrow but Im just wondering what could this be about.

Thanks Vanessa. My physician put me a shot for the infection and I had a urinalsysis made. She said it was clean and gave me Azithromycin 250MG, 4 caps to take at once. She said to go back if the symptoms persisted. I dont see the mild pain increasing, its just rather uncomfortable to think of some sensation when urinating. I hope tomarrow I feel better with the dose the prescribed. Thanks a lot.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Pain in urination may be due to several factors, the most common of which is urinary tract infection.Injury to the urethra may cause pain and blood in the urine.

Your physician after a thorough physical examination may request for a urinalysis and manage from there.

STD's may present as pain in urination but may have other associated symptoms like a urethral discharge, scrotal tenderness or swelling, palpable nodes in the groin and a rash or lesion in the penis.

I hope this helps you.Keep us posted regarding your physician's advise.
