Multiple Bladder Infection

by t777, May 17, 2007 12:00AM
Hello. Over the past 2 months, I have had 3 bladder infections.  I am 28 years old, used to have them as a child, but they have ceased until now.  Could stress possibly be a cause? I have stress at work and also planning a wedding.  I am beginning to worry as after I take Cipro for 10 days, I take another urine test, it shows that the bacteria is gone, yet still my bladder does not feel the same. I have always had the problem of going to the bathroom frequently, however now even though the infection is gone-it still feels as though there is pressure on my bladder (no pain, just pressure). I drink plenty of water, however always feel dehydrated (probably due to the fact, I pee everything out).  Could there be another issue? I am worried that my kidneys are not healthy and being at such a young age really worries me.  Currently I am taking doses of Vitamin C, Pure Cranberry Juice, Multi-Vitamin and more.  Any suggestions? Can alcohol lead to bladder infections?  Is there a medication that is stronger than the above (wihout Penicillin or sulfa- I am allergic) that can stop these annoying infections completely?? Any advice would be of great help. Thanks!
