NO infection, still urgency to urinate

by K228, Apr 24, 2009 09:45AM
I am a 40 yr old female and recently had a kidney infection and went back to the doctor a 3 days ago and NO infection on urine culture, but I am still urinating a LOT and having a lot of urgency to urinate. What should I do or what could be going on?

Hi,
How are you? Increased urgency and frequency in the absence of infection could be a result of inflammation. Any personal care products, fabric, latex condoms can cause inflammation. Also, certain diseases like diabetes also cause increased  frequency.
Consult a urologist and discuss the above mentioned possibilities and follow his advise.
Best.
