Thankyou for your response. Well, doctors put me on Ofloxacin (100mg three times a day) for two weeks and my symptoms came back just after finishing the treatment. After that i am on Cefixime (400mg twice a day) for 3 weeks and symptoms just go on and off. What could be the possible reason.

In my background, i was having 3mm stone in my bladder which passed away with pain, and now somw tiny concretions have been seen in the collecting system. Doctor said that this is due to these stones. My Uric Acid level is also high and lipis profile is also not fine.

I asked the doctor about chlamydia and gonorrhoea. My wife is tested negative for these both and i have only done sex with her (she use to have a previous boyfriend). Doctors took my urine RE and urine culture and all comes negative.

Can chlamydia and gonorrhoea be seen in the normal urine culutre (my doctor said chlamydia can be seen but not gonorrhoea ; is it true) ?

Please advise what could be these symptoms. They really put me in trouble.

Please also advise the dose of these :

Doxycycline (100mg)
Azithromycin (250mg)

I have this with me but dont know the doses of these.

Hello engadnan,

Yes, cystitis can be due to STD. Bacterial cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, caused by bacteria entering the bladder via the urethra. Bacteria are the most common cause of cystitis, and may be introduced into the urinary system for many reasons. Infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea can cause symptoms similar to cystitis, particularly when they are present in young, sexually active men. You are on the right antibiotics. Plesae continue on the same.
