New and Frequent urge to urinate!

Hi

My prob started last December i had to keep urinating even when i had finished, i thought it was UTI so went to docs and all tests were clear, since then i have had swabs, ultrasounds all fine its really depressing the docs have given up and told me to take ibuprofen to reduce bladder inflamation? but i dont theink its my bladder.

I have no pain anywhere, around my urethra area is red and sore when i wipe with tissue which somehow stimulates it to want to urinate more?i have used vasaline. sudocream, vagasil and canasten nothing works to get rid of the irritation? i dont know what to do i have asked if it could be urethritus but doc says i have no sign of infection/bacteria so it cant be.

I just want it to go away i have had it for nearly 3mths now, has anyone been through something similar or advice on any other creams i could use?

Thanks x

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These symptoms can be due to urinary incontinence. Symptoms can range from mild leaking to uncontrollable wetting. It can happen to anyone, but it becomes more common with age. Most bladder control problems happen when muscles are too weak or too active. If bladder muscles become too active, you may feel a strong urge to go to the bathroom when you have little urine in your bladder. This is urge incontinence or overactive bladder.

Treatment depends on the type of problem you have and what best fits your lifestyle. It may include simple exercises, medicines, special devices or procedures prescribed by your doctor, or surgery.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
