Oral Ulcers

Hi, I'm trying to find out the different types of oral ulcers that happen in the accute stage of hiv compered to the later stages. And is it posible to just have a oral ulcer without any other sympton in the acute stage of hiv. Thank you.

Yes, it is possible to have just an oral ulcer in acute HIV.  They are typically, painful, shallow, and sharpley demarcated.  The typical time-frame from exposure to the development of symptoms is 2-4 weeks, and the symptoms last from 1 1/2 to 2 weeks.  

The presentation of the ulcers as well as the time frame would vary from patient to patient.
