PAIN AFTER STENT REMOVAL

by patty3390, Aug 07, 2009 03:26PM
I had a large kidney stone that I could not pass.  My doctor inserted a stent in me until the infection eased up and I could have the stone blasted.  About a week after they inserted the stent, the stone was blasted and about 12 days after that I had the stent removed.  The time the stent was in was unbearable....extremely uncomfortable and frequent urination.  The stent has been out for about 2-1/2 months and I am still having discomfort in the lower groin area.  My doctor has ordered all kinds of tests to be sure there was not another stone, which there isn't.

Why am I still having this pain?  I think they think I am crazy as they cannot find anything?  Could this still be from the stent?  I have had a hysterectomy so it is not female related.  The pain is similar to cramping.

Please help!
