MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like recurrent or chronic UTI. Recurrent urine infections could be due to various reasons. Most common cause is stones in kidney which is blocking urine pathway.

Other causes are changing sexual partners frequently, pregnancy, diabetes and of course childhood infections. The urine can also be due to retention of urine anywhere in its flow due t obstruction. The obstruction can be due to abnormality of structures since birth, stones or diseases like tumors . Females are more prone to urine infections. So you should get a ultrasound, CT scan done and also some urine and blood tests like urine examination, urine culture and kidney function tests.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

There is an over-the-counter product called "AZO" that can help with the pain of a UTI, but it won't kill the bacteria that causes it.  I'm concerned that the bactrim isn't helping by now since it's a specific antibiotic for uti's and it's VERY strong.  You may have something else going on so please call your doctor ASAP.

Hi peachezncream,
Sorry you are having this problem. It sounds like you still have a urinary tract infection. Sometimes an antibiotic won't kill the bacteria and you may need another antibiotic. Some people get a log of these infections. I would suggest calling the doctor and telling them your problem and you may have to go back to the doctor and have a urine culture done or they may tell you that they will call in another antibiotic for you. It is helpful to drink a lot of cranberry juice. My mother in law uses cranberry juice as her "antibiotic" it also helped me once. But you have to drink a couple of liters a day until you feel better. But I wouldn't skip going to the doctor. The burning and difficulty urinating is typical of a urinary tract infection. Be sure when you wipe after urinating to wipe from front to back because women have the opening to the bladder very close to the surface and it can get contaminated easily and sometimes during sex. I don't have a suggestion for the latter. Drink lots of water too. Let me know how you do. But definitely call your doctor.

take care,
