Further evaluation is certainly needed. What you not want to miss is
recurrentRecurrent cystitis or
metastaticMetastatic brain tumor
Metastatic cancer to the lung prostate cancer after the prostatectomy. Tests including a bone scan and abdominal/pelvic CT scan would be a reasonable course of initial action.
Another option would be a ProstaScint scan. This test is specifically designed to find prostate cancer recurrence after a prostatectomy.
