PSA level changes

by vahiker, Jul 04, 2009 10:56AM
I have had PSA levels increase for past 10 years.  During this time I have had 6 biopsies of average 7 samples each time and am scheduled now for my 7th biopsie.   About a year ago, I had  laser prostatic ablation and my PSA went down to 5 from 7, and now it is back up to 7.8.     The last biopsie showed atrophy.   Has anyone else experienced this problem of multiple frequent biopsies.   I currently have no symptoms of BPH since my surgery and am taking no medication for prostate problems. .   At what point is the biopsies over prescribed.

This discussion is related to Elevated PSA and low Free PSA with benign biopsies.
