I started taking 3 ibuprofen every 4 hours and iced it a few times (although things get more painful when everything is contracted, so I haven't been iceing every hour or anything.) I think the tube is less inflamed, but I can still barely walk.
If it brushes against something, it is probably the most pain I've experienced in my adult life (which has been pretty pain free, so I'd maybe rate it an 8?)
Is having something inside (maybe the Vas) attached to the incision really "normal"?
Is such severe pain 12 days post procedure a sign I need to do something other than wait for it to get better?
Should I call the doctor back up and be more insistent that someone look at it?
Hi,
The pain which you’re suffering from could likely be due to an infection or the development of a sperm granuloma. This develops as a result of the entrapment of the sperms in the vas. You should consult the treating surgeon and seek an opinion regarding the further course of action and seek treatment. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
