Pain Urinating

Pain Urinating

I am a 46 year old male. Not sexuallly active.
For approximately one month I have been urinating very frequently. Whithin 10 to 15 minutes after drinking ANYTHING.
I will wake in middle of night to urinate and it is a very slow stream. During the day it is still slow. But; not as slow.
Within past week it burns when I urinatein in the middle of my penis. I also have some very bad lower back pains. However; I did have lower back surgery 13 years ago and have been picking up grandchildren and working in yard more than normal.
Past 2 years, when I have had my fisical, my Prostrate has been enlarged. Have had blood tests and they come back negitive.
Do you think this problem is serious where I need to see doctor right away?
Thank you for your advise.

I would consider a visit to your doctor.  An enlarged prostate can lead to the symptoms you are describing - there are medications that can help shrink the prostate.

I would also consider diabetes - which can lead to an increased frequency of urinating.  This can be done via a blood test.

Of course, things like infection need to be ruled out.  This can be done with a urinalysis as well as tests for STDs.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
