i am an unmarried man, 30 years old. I have been masturbating since more than 12 years. but many a times after masturbation i feel pain near the right leg joint in the hip. This is mainly in the inner side of the thigh. Recently i have been feeling pain in that area even normally.
can it be hernia?? Please suggest what can go wrong.
Hernia is nothing but the protrusion of the abdominal organs mainly intestines through a small canal called the Inguinal canal or through the anterior abdominal wall. At times these may be very painful and need to be managed surgically. Hernia causes a dragging type of pain in the groin region but usually it is noted after exertion or increased intra-abdominal pressure like while straining. It is unlikely to have an onset after ejaculation.
However chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) has a wide range of symptoms, with some confusion at the moment due to possible overlap with other conditions. Persistent relapsing pain or discomfort in any of the following areas:
• Between rectum and testicles (perineum)
• Tip of the penis (not related to urination)
• Below the waist, in your pubic or bladder area
Some of the functional symptoms are:
• Pain or burning during urination
• Pain or discomfort during or after ejaculation
• A sensation of pain in the lower back and upper legs
• A sensation of pain in the groin and above the bladder
• A sensation of pain or burning high up in the penis (urethra)
• A sensation of not emptying the bladder completely after finishing urinating
• Lowering of libido (sexual desire)
So you see it is possible that you may be suffering from prostitis. Are you sexually active and do you have any other complaints. Do elaborate if you have any other queries.
