Pain in groin and testi for 4 months HELP !!!!!
Little over 4 months ago went to Dominican Republic where I had
protected sex with ( sex Worker )while I was having sex with condom on I felt little tingnling in my penis ( weird Feeling )
then when I was done I noticed she didnt even wash up just said bye and on to the nex client ( which I thought to be just Nasty)
But whatever I did ask her if she has HIV she said no , that she gets tested .... ohh well
Next day I didnt feel so good, groin pain on left side , left testi felt very sensitive and uncomfortable and pulsing pain on
from lower back ( left Side ) I came back home ( to U.S ) pain was there every day pulsing between lower back and my left testi and groin it drove me nuts . 3 weeks later I went to doctor and he gave me 1 week of Dyxocycline . I took it and after that pain still was there but getting better my lower back and left testi was hurting less frequently .
- I waited another month got me HIV test ( came out NEG )
at that time I decided to tell my wife some silly story and take her to std clinic cause I thaught I might have gave her something and now she may be reinfacting me .
So we went to clinc - They gave us tests which all came out neg , Chlymedia syphlis and Gonarea ,because of my testicular pain doctor concluded that I have EPI because my left test was tender so he gave me 2 weeks of dyxocycline and shot of penicylin like substance and because my wife had no symtoms she got just in case pill of cypro and some sort of liquid she had to drink.
-I went through all meds and no sex of any kind with wife for 4 weeks
- Now after meds I still felt discomfort in my testi
so I went to my doctor and he said that its in my mind and gave me zynax to relax , at month 3 I went back to doctor and got me HIV & Hep B ,C test again ( came out Neg )
-At that time I also made a complaint to my doc that my throut feels kind a funky , he said its from stress .....
-Here I am today more than 1 months after my last doc visit
I feel disapointed , discuraged and with sore throt which feels like not real sore throt ,it iritates me when i swallow and i had that sore throt for over a month ..
- 3 days ago I went to urologist he inspected my testis they felt ok I had no pain when he sqeesed them and he felt my prostate and I jumped a bit he concluded I have an prostate infection and gave me 3 weeks of Cipro XR 500 MG ( I do not lift anything heavy though )
- 3rd day I am on cipro it is hard to tell if I feel better
I still feel my left testi to be acting up and beeing sensative
also I feel somthing in my lower left side ( PS .which I felt for past 4 moths on and off ) which feels like a little needle in me.
----- Conclusion ------
Ohh Doc .. What do you think this can be ?
What should i do ?
What test should I be asking for ?
I can not tell this to anyone else but should I be worried that my wife has this ?( she claimed she feels fine )

You know I am going through the same exact problems. All negative results but the pain is real in the groin, down the legs and up into the hands. This started after having sex with someone that I have had sex with for the last four months and had nothing until now. She I guess was running around. We were checked out before we had sex and all came back negative. It is still coming back negative!!! I felt this right after sex so what can this be except sex related. The doctor I saw last said that he has done all he can do and nothing more can be done except a referral to the infectous disease people. We might have a new strain that has never been researched!!! So they would not know what it is.

Further evaluation can be considered with a scrotal ultrasound to evaluate for any testicular diseases (i.e. infections like epididymitis). I would assume that a urinalysis was already performed as a basic test for infection.
I agree that the prostate should also be further looked at. Prostate infections can be very difficult to detect and treat. During a digital rectal exam, any prostatic secretions can be sent for analysis and culture.
You can consider a transrectal ultrasound to further image the prostate for any abscesses.
HIV should always be tested for in these high-risk scenarios.
These options should be discussed with your personal physician or in conjunction with a urologist.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
