The MRI of the abdomen is a pretty comprehensive test. Other options to consider would be an upper GI series/upper endoscopy (to evaluate the upper GI tract), as well as a HIDA scan with CCK stimulation. The latter test can evaluate the gallbladder ejection fraction. If low, there are some studies that suggest removing the gallbladder can be of help.
