Painful Urinary Meatus

I noticed in the last two days that my Urinary Meatus is painful and sore. I am worried that is could be a Urinary Track infection or an STD. I have not be sexually active recently. I am not experiencing any discharged nor any pain or burning during urination. The Tip of the Urinary Track is red and sore.... Any advice or idea what could cause this... Could it be from maybe friction from my underwear. Please Help

     How are you?  Pain at the urethral meatus could be due to prostatitis or urethritis. If it was urethritis, it could be a result of UTI or STD or inflammation from personal care products or garments. Prostatitis is usually STD related and manifests with frequency, urgency and burning pain after ejaculation. Urine analysis and STD panel would help in making diagnosis.

I would suggest that you visit a urologist for further confirmation of diagnosis and advise on treatment.
