Penis/foreskin Burn

Hi,
Long story short... My girl and I have been using protection for over a year. We decided to get std tests, get her on birth control, and stop using condoms. We both tested negative for all stds. Now the day after we had unprotected sex for the first time, the outside of my penis at the foreskin and tip started to burn. It went away two days later and then came back. Basically the slight burn has been coming and going now for over a month. It's not an agonizing burn it's just annoying. She said she feels perfectly fine. She is really sensitive down there and gets uti's every once in a while. It doesn't hurt when I pee or anything and I know it's coming from the outside. I thought it could be like friction from having sex but it's been over a month so that should have went away. Any idea what could be causing this on and off burning?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Your girlfriend may be having fungal or yeast infection which may be causing these symptoms. Ask her to get KOH examination of the vaginal discharge done.
Since STD panel has come out clean, it can be due to an allergic reaction (say to body lotions, condoms, soaps etc) or it can be a skin condition like eczema, dermatitis etc or it can be a fungal infection. Other than that it can be a simple bacterial infection or balanitis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Doc,
Thanks for the thorough response very appreciated! Is it best for me to see a PCP, dermatologist, or urologist for this problem? One problem I am currently having is I have no medical insurance cause I just switched jobs a about a month and a half ago. I have to wait 90 days until I am insured with my new company. So going to get this checked out is going to be somewhat of a problem. Is whatever you think my problem is just something that would be looked at visually? Or would there have to be some sort of tests done as well? Because if it's just something visual can't I just pay this site and post everything on here?  Thanks in advance!
