Penis pain around ridge

I am 38 years of age and about 3 years I was circumcised because I had difficulty pulling back the foreskin.
About 6 months ago ive noticed a slight redness on the right side of the ridhe of my penis (sulcus?). This redness isnot always present but appears mostly when im erect.
I have no problem maintaining a good erction and I feel no discomfort during intercourse.
However I feel a pain around the ridge of my penis where it is red when im recieving oralsex, so much so that i have to ask them to stop. The pain is one of tenderness and sharp pain but does not occur all the time.
Im wondering if the circumcission may have anything to do with this symptom or the cause of this discomfort is due to something else?
