Hi,
I am 34 yrs old. I Just found, I have a problem with my Left Kidney, while doing u/s for another reason. I have no pain.
CT Scan report saying:
The post-contrast enhanced images through the kidneys show a

Little tummys renal cortex noted in the left renal fossa. What there is, is markedly compressed and atrophic. Delayed images were performed through the abdomen and pelvis. While the delayed images showed contrast in the right pelvicaliceal collecting system and ureter, no contrast was seen as yet in the left pelvicaliceal collecting system or the left ureter. Although the findings in the left renal moiety may indicate massive, chronic hydronephrosis, the lack of dilatation of the left ureter and the relative disproportionate dilatation of the left renal pelvis are suggestive of a ureteropelvic junction obstruction in the left renal moiety. The liver, spleen, pancreas, and adrenal glands appear unremarkable. Gallbladder is present. No biliary dilatation. Intestinal system shows no CT evidence of obstruction or ileus. Abdominal aorta is normal in caliber. Findings suspicious for severe ureteropelvic junction obstruction in the left renal moiety with marked thinning of the left renal cortex. Hydronephrosis is felt to be less likely due to lack of dilatation of the of the left ureter.
What is the name for my problem
Do i need a Nephrologist or Urologist
Do i need surgery?
