Prostate Issues?

by biff7000, Sep 27, 2009 01:17PM
I have had dull pain  below my testicles on and off for the last two months. At first I thought I had some sort of UTI, but upon later contemplation I realized the discomfort was coming from the pernial area (between testicles and anus). I also started noticing that the discomfort was amplified when sitting in a car or plane for long periods of time. The discomfort subsided when standing or at bedtime. over the last three weeks everything felt normal, but now the discomfort has returned. Can this be a prostate issue, by the way I am 38? Also if this is a prostate issue could is cause discomfort in the urethra? any help would be appreciated?

Thanks

Sounds like it is Prostate issue.  Even though you are only 38, you could have an
enlarged Prostate.  I would recommend seeing your Doctor and have him check
you anally with his finger.  It is quick and painless.  Don't wait on this, make an
appointment right away.

Hi,
There are 3-4 possibilities which I can think of in your case. This could be one of the anal problems like a fistula-in-ano or anal fissure which can also present with pain in the mentioned area. The pain could also be due to a stone in the urinary tract and pain radiating towards to the perineal region and it could be a prostate problem also like prostatitis. I don’t think you’ll have enlarged prostate at this age. Please do g an ultrasound of the urinary tract to confirm these findings and you’ll definitely need a consultation with a surgeon for a physical examination and ruling out the above mentioned conditions. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Thanks for you reply. Would any of those condition you mention actually radiate irritation through the urethra?
