Prostatitis + Erection Problems

Hi there!

I have pain in my right testicle for close to 12 months now. My urologists has given me various anti-biotics with the last one being doxycycline. The pain level is slightly less now but hasn't gone away. My concern however is that for last 3 months i have been having erection problems. My erections in the morning are not as strong or sometimes don't happen, i do not get erections anywhere near 'normal' for me and i sometimes have difficulty maintaining erection when i do get one.

The Urologist says it sounds like venous leak but wants to treat my prostatis to see if that helps. The strange thing is, whilst i have been on the last 3 anti-biotics, for 1 - 1.5weeks on both these anti-biotics, my erection problems have totally cleared. So over the last 3 months of erection problems, there has problem been at least 1 week per month where the problems have gone away. This doesn't sound like venous leak does it? Would venous leak not mean my erection problems would be there all the time?

Can the prostatitis be causing my erection problems? I have definitely had an improvement for a while on the anti-biotics. My PSA was 2.0 before i took my last anti-biotic and my Urologist wants to get it below 1.5. I have a blood test later this week to see where it is after the doxycycline.

I am 28yrs old and excercise regularly so in good health otherwise. I don't have diabetes or anything else.
