Dear Gordon,
The medical term for your
bloodyBloody or tarry stools semen is hematospermia or hemospermia. This is usually not a serious problem and is usually self-limited (ends on its own). The present thinking is that individuals such as yourself should have a good history and physical examination. Some of us examine prostatic secretions and recommend a prostate ultrasound for completeness sake.
Good luck!
