About 5 years ago while doing a testicular self-exam, I noticed a "lump" in the top of my right testicle, right where the epididymis meets the testicle.  I ran to the doctor like the next day and he sent me for an ultrasound.  The doctor saw the cyst and said it was definitely not in the testicle, instead was in the epididymis.  He said there was no chance of it becoming cancer.  Since that time, I've continued my monthly testicular exam and went for two subsequent ultrasounds (just to play it safe).  My urologist said that eventually if it becomes too big, it could cause testicular and abdominal pain, and may have to be surgically removed.  Well, I have the pain now.  It's very similar to the feeling (if you are a guy) of when you get hit in the testicles, only it hurts most of the time.  The question is is it a major operation?  Is there anything I could do at home to relieve the symptoms?  Is it possible it really was cancer? Thank you.
I have exactly the same problem as you.
Unfortunately at this stage I am not getting very far with the specialists in the uk.
It seems to me that surgery can leave you with chronic long term pain.
I will keep you informed of any info I get, likewise will you do the same?
Kevin.
